Description: Explore Astotin Lake area in the winter while searching for bison with the one of our friendly interpretive guides! A 60 minute tour with hot chocolate, bison pemmican and on-trail maple taffy... Yummm. Guests are welcome to take additional time for self guided exploration of the area. Snowshoes included. Call to book your guide. We recommend guests wear warm winter gear. We suggest layering a light weight base layer with a medium to heavy weight sweater (temperature dependent), a winter jacket, snow pants, gloves, warm socks, and a toque and scarf or balaclava. Warm footwear is essential. A small backpack is also a good idea to carry your camera, binoculars, water and snacks.

Leave the city lights behind and experience an evening of winter wonderland of magic. With a blanket of snow underfoot and a blanket of stars and the moon overhead it’s a perfect time for a snowshoe in the park. The Rental Shack staff will have a roaring bonfire to warm the hands before heading home.
Times: 7 to 9 pm
- $15 first pair
- $10 for each additional pair
with some value add-ons:
- $5/person includes marshmallows for roasting, hot chocolate, and a bison cookie
- $25/person for 60 minute guided tour departs 7:30 pm (minimum 4 people) (snowshoe rentals as noted above)
